Embodying What We Know

Written on 05/26/2025

After years of building an understanding of myself through podcasts, books, therapy, philosophizing with friends, one thing has become crystal clear:
I can understand something intellectually until my face turns blue — but real change doesn’t happen until I integrate that understanding into my body. Into action. Into sensation.

Of course we know things.

We know we’re worthy of love.

We know we don’t have to perform or be perfect to be accepted.

We know we deserve joy, health, connection.

We know flying is the safest form of transportation!

But there’s still an energy we carry that says the opposite.
And it doesn’t live in our minds — it lives in our bodies.
It lives in our subconscious, in our cells, in our breath patterns, in our nervous system.

This week, let this be your reminder:
You don’t need more knowing. You need more feeling. More embodiment.
That’s where the shift lives.

Where in your life do you feel you need more integration?
How can you practice it this week — not just in thought, but in your body?

A few ideas using the Detox House app:

  • Build safety in the body through our guided cold plunge for anxiety.

  • If your body is craving rest or stillness, draw a hot epsom salt bath or step into the sauna. Let the heat remind your body it’s safe to slow down.

  • If you want to feel more — to actually move emotion through — start with a cold shower or try a cold plunge. Breathe through it. See what comes up.

  • If you want to rewire a belief or show your body what’s possible, explore a guided breathwork journey and anchor your new truth into your system.

Let this week be about living what you know. One breath, one plunge, one pause at a time.
