The Art of Surrender
I've been doing a lot of work on building and creating a new reality for myself -- that work has been inspired by so many teachers: Dr. Joe Dispenza, Dr. David R Hawkins, Dr. Stanislav Grof, Lacy Phillips, Louise Hay, and more... I've learned so much along this path and have really observed the patterns of what works and what doesn't.
Building and creating desired outcomes takes action (specifically aligned action). But it's not just what you do, it's how you do it. Two people can step into a room and say the exact same thing and follow the exact same playbook, yet they will create two separate outcomes. Why? Because the way they carry themselves is different -- their vibration and their energy speaks volumes.
So what’s the winning energy?
These expressions capture that paradox of magnetism: the less someone tries, the more powerful and attractive they feel. To be clear, this isn’t about not caring. This is about letting go. |
At Detox House, we talk often about letting go: of physical toxins, of mental strain, of built-up emotions. But there’s another layer—letting go also means surrendering to any outcome. That’s when the need dissolves. That’s when the wanting neutralizes. And that’s where real power lives.
This is the heart of the work we’re exploring in the State Shift. And today, I want to give you a simple practice to experience it for yourself:
A quick exercise for surrendering?
Step 1. Write down something you want (start small—big things are harder to practice with).
Step 2. Take it off the pedestal. Make a pros and cons list. For example: “I want 100k new followers.” Pros: impact, exposure, reach. Cons: responsibility of managing a large audience, increased scrutiny, constant feedback. See both sides—there are always pros and cons.
Step 3. Shift into gratitude and acceptance of what is. Use breathwork, sauna, or cold plunge to anchor yourself in the present. No future-tripping, no looping the past. Find genuine, heart-centered gratitude for what brings you joy right now. Don’t force it—just be real. I recommend toggling to Practice > Breathwork > Breathwork for Emotional Release or Breathwork for Joy.
Step 4. Notice how your body feels. Do you feel lighter, more grounded, more free? If not, return to the steps again and observe the shift more deeply.
