What's Your Body Telling You?

Written on 06/09/2025

I’ve spent years—and more money than I care to admit—trying to understand my body. Why it was reacting the way it did.  I came to it with frustration, sometimes even desperation. But underneath all of that was something softer: curiosity. A belief that my body wasn’t broken—it was communicating.

And that’s what I’ve learned to listen for, have learned to appreciate, and be in awe of it's brilliance.

There’s often an emotional root to what we feel physically. Sometimes it’s as simple as needing more rest. Sometimes it’s a deeper pattern—an old belief stored in the tissues, asking to be released. Supplements can help. So can breathwork, cold, heat, movement. But the body speaks in layers. And if we don’t hear the emotional message, the symptoms often return. Dr. Sarno writes about this in his books like The MindBody Perscription

Your body is brilliant. It’s not working against you—it’s speaking to you. And its language deserves to be honored.

This week, take a moment each day to pause, breathe, and check in:

  • What are some of the things you're experiencing in your body physically?

  • What could these symptoms or sensations be saying emotionally?

You don’t need to fix anything right now. Just listen. Decode the message.

Remember that it’s always trying to bring you back home.
